The Ubuntu Modular Container Laboratory is a purpose-built laboratory facility constructed from two modified 20ft High Cube shipping containers, connected using a custom container joining system to create a larger integrated workspace.

For projects involving biological, chemical or other hazardous materials, the final laboratory specification should be designed and independently assessed to meet the applicable South African requirements, containment standards, occupational-health requirements and project-specific safety protocols.
